Created to suit the taste of Winston Churchill, a process of softening Whiskey or Bourbon with the art of mixing fresh orange skin, Aromatic bitters, and a dash of sugar by slowly stirring the ingredients together. The magic of this drink and its method bring the guest and the Bartender closer together on a more personal level.
60ml Woodford reserve bourbon
1 white sugar cube
2 dashes of Angostura bitters
2 fresh orange twists
Place cocktail napkin on top of tumbler/Rocks glass, place sugar cube on napkin, soak sugar cube in choice of bitters. Use napkin to dry the sugar cube before dropping into the glass.
Add 10ml of spirit and crush the cube using coin side of bar spoon,
Add 1 block of ice and stir until ice is melted,
Add 1 fresh orange zest, 10ml of spirit and 1 more ice cube and stir until ice is melted,
Add 20ml spirit and 1 more ice cube and stir until ice is melted,
Add the rest of the spirit and fill with cubed ice and garnish with orange zest.
