Classic Mojito

Classic Mojito

The Mojito was a favorite drink of author Ernest Hemingway. Ernest Hemingway made the bar called La Bodeguita del Medio famous as he became one of its regulars and he wrote “My mojito in La Bodeguita, My daiquiri in El Floridita”.

This expression in English can still be read on the wall of the bar today, in his handwriting.

The fusion of fresh mint, fresh limes and raw sugar and Bacardi Superior rum is to date the world’s most popular cocktail.

60ml Bacardi rum

6 fresh lime wedges

6 fresh mint leaves

1 spoon of white sugar

Dash of soda water

Muddle the limes and sugar in a tall cocktail glass, add the mint leaves and top with crushed ice. Add the rum and churn well, add a dash of soda water and then top with a crushed ice cap, garnish with a mint sprig and lime sticks.
